The Clinton-Macomb Public Library is a district library serving a population of about 185,000 in Clinton and Macomb Townships in Michigan. Formed in 1992, it serves all residents of Macomb Township and most of Clinton Township, with the Mount Clemens School District portion served by Mount Clemens Public Library. As a member of the Suburban Library Cooperative, it is part of a network of 20 libraries north of Metro Detroit. Funding for CMPL comes largely from local property taxes paid by residents of Clinton and Macomb Townships. Its strategic priorities focus on sustaining lifelong reading and learning, growing young readers, advancing student success, and connecting the community.
