CME’s business model has established a solid record of success.  Founded in 1994 as a US Corporation, CME Wire and Cable, Inc. is a member of Xignux, a $3.4 billion dollar international group based in Monterrey, Mexico.

Xignux began operations in 1956 with the construction of the first manufacturing facility, Conductores Monterrey.  However, by 1962 the 31,000 square foot building was insufficient for the rapid growth and success of the company.  Therefore, with the purchase of a 62 acre plot of land, design and construction began for the new facility.  On May 19, 1965 the inauguration for the new plant was celebrated.

Today, Xignux operates 14 manufacturing plants and employees over 20,000 people internationally.  In addition, the Xignux products are sold in more than 30 countries worldwide.

CME is proud to be a pivotal part of the Xignux family.  Since 2008, during the global financial crisis, each of the three divisions of CME has shown its strength in their market by consistently presenting significant increases to the company’s sales revenue.
