San Diego-based Coast Music Therapy specializes in IEP-based services for  kids and teens in grades PreK-12 who require music therapy in order to benefit from their educational program. 

Michelle Lazar, MA, MT-BC, Michigan native, founded Coast Music Therapy in 1999 to expand opportunities for children and teens in San Diego who despite their challenges, thrive when music is used to support their communication, motivation, social skills, academics, motor skills, and navigating emotions. 

Michelle is a Board Certified Music Therapist who holds a Master's in Special Education with an autism emphasis from San Diego State University.
