Coastal Bend Regional Advisory Council is a nonprofit organization focused on public safety in South Texas. Its mission is to reduce death and disability from trauma, acute illness, injury, and disasters by providing education and by coordinating disaster and emergency response systems. It also serves as the management contractor for the HHS Hospital Preparedness Program for its area of responsibility. Headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas, the council serves a South Texas region that includes the counties of Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy, Cameron, Refugio, Aransas, San Patricio, Nueces, Kleberg, Kenedy, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Live Oak, Bee, McMullen, Webb, Jim Hogg, and Zapata. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating in public safety, it works to enhance education and preparedness for trauma, acute illness, injury, and disasters within its region.
