CoHo Productions is a small theater company based in Portland, Oregon, that develops and presents plays through a collaborative Co-Production model. The organization positions itself as a platform for both established and emerging Portland artists and companies, helping projects move from concept to fully realized productions. The company began in 1995 when Gary Cole and Robert Holden sought to stage Bodyhold, a project that ultimately helped establish the venue and the company’s producing role. Bodyhold went on to receive a nomination for Best New Play at the Portland Drammy Awards, signaling the early critical reception of its work. Over its 15 years of operation, CoHo has produced more than 40 fully staged productions and over 10 world premieres, earning 19 Drammy Awards. It has also served as a launching platform for other Portland institutions, staging the first productions of Profile Theatre Project and Third Rail Repertory through its collaborative model. In May 2022, the company announced development of a new concept involving class traitor personalities linked to objects, described as a choose-your-own-adventure style project.
