Colel Chabad is a nonprofit organization that provides aid to Israel's neediest residents while preserving their dignity, serving Jews regardless of age, gender, background, location, or level of observance. Founded in 1788 by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the founder of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, it is recognized as the oldest continuously operating Tzedakah organization in Israel and is based in Brooklyn, New York as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt entity. Its primary beneficiaries are residents of Israel facing destitution, and its work centers on charitable relief rather than fundraising. The organization collaborates with local Chabad centers and other partners to distribute support to those in need in Israel, including coordinating Purim campaigns. In May 2024 it launched an updated mobile Pushka app to facilitate giving.
