Collaboratory is a regional community foundation based in Fort Myers, Florida, serving Southwest Florida across five counties (Lee, Hendry, Glades, Charlotte and Collier). Its mission is to coordinate efforts to solve the area's major social problems by 2040, leveraging collaboration across the broader community. The organization supports donors and partners by guiding funding and disbursing grants to initiatives identified as priorities. Collaboratory also builds capacity by offering training and resources to regional partners, and it uses data to track progress and optimize the impact of donor dollars. With a history dating back to 1976, it has facilitated more than $120 million in grants to individuals and organizations to improve quality of life across the region. In May 2026, Collaboratory announced a crisis prevention data-sharing and quality-measurement pilot in partnership with the Center for Progress and Excellence (CPE) and Excellence, Inc., aiming to strengthen crisis mental health services across Southwest Florida.
