Colonial Club of Princeton University operates as a private eating club within the Princeton area, offering a dining and social community for upperclassmen and select sophomores. Established in 1891, it is one of the oldest clubs on Prospect Avenue and is known for its distinctive Colonial Revival architectural features. The club provides a dining experience characterized by an open grill, smoothie station, and panini bar, guided by an executive chef who has led the kitchen for over a decade, reflecting a long-standing emphasis on varied, high-quality cuisine. In addition to meals, Colonial hosts a range of social and intellectual activities, including study breaks, game nights, formals, and professional and academic programming such as a student-run investment portfolio, a professor dinner series, and alumni networking events. Based in Princeton, New Jersey, the club positions itself as a diverse, private community within the university ecosystem, separate from direct university administration, with a year-round membership structure for juniors and seniors.
