The Colorado Academy of Family Physicians is the only organization dedicated solely to family physicians in the state of Colorado. Our academy was founded in 1948 and currently represents over 2,700 practicing and retired family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students. We support Colorado’s family physicians and patients by providing state-level advocacy, offering affordable and relevant education through our Annual Summit and other events, and championing health of the public initiatives that help all Coloradans live healthier lives. The CAFP’s mission is to serve as the bold champion for Colorado’s family physicians, patients and communities, through education and advocacy. Our vision is thriving Family Physicians creating a healthier Colorado. Our values are focused on achieving equal access to healthcare and equitable health outcomes, and dismantling the structures, systems, and biases that prevent both.
