Based in Denver, Colorado, the Colorado Symphony operates as a full-time professional orchestra dedicated to sustaining live symphonic music. Each year it delivers more than 150 concerts at Boettcher Concert Hall and at venues across Colorado, supported by about eighty full-time musicians from diverse national backgrounds. Founded in 1989 as the successor to the Denver Symphony, the organization positions itself within the performing arts as a regional hub for orchestral music, with performances ranging from small ensembles to full-scale concerts across the state. In addition to concerts, it runs education and outreach initiatives to broaden audience engagement. Recent developments include the launch of the 2026/27 season and the appointment of Quincey Trojanowski as Principal Bassoon.
