Rigorous testing and experimenting made a new PLA (PLA/PHA) grade available in 2013. Followed by special filaments like woodFill, and bronzeFill, the first filament with actual bronze particles in it, resulting in truly stunning prints when post-processed. Meanwhile, a lightweight PLA (LW-PLA) filament was born. It uses active foam technology to 3D print low-weight and low-density PLA parts. In 2018, colorFabb launched Color on Demand, a first step in true customization of filaments and polymers to suit the customers' specific needs. colorFabb filaments are applied in a large scale of applications, Automotive, Medical and Dental, Aerospace & Defense, and very often in Art and Design.
