Comfort for America's Uniformed Services (Cause) is a nonprofit organization within the Armed Forces sector that delivers programs and services aimed at supporting injured service members during recovery. Founded in 2003 by four West Point graduates and their wives, Cause operates on military medical facility campuses in the United States and Germany, including facilities such as Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, among others. The organization creates recreational, relaxation, and resiliency activities designed to help wounded warriors cope with lengthy medical care and rehabilitation, promote normalization, and assist with re-entry to home and community. Its programs span digital entertainment libraries, hospital game carts, bodywork therapies, family-oriented events, and other special activities, with the goal of bringing respite and meaningful engagement to service members facing challenging circumstances.
