The Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps is a volunteer emergency medical service based in Commack, New York. Founded in 1966 after the loss of a child, it evolved from relying on a hearse to operating its own EMS fleet at 200 Burr Road. Today it staffs 24/7 Advanced Life Support resources, including five ambulances and six first-responder vehicles, to deliver rapid medical response in Suffolk County and surrounding communities, handling roughly 3,800 alarms each year. Beyond emergency response, the organization maintains a Youth Squad formed in 1980, which remains active and has included many participants who later pursued medical careers. It also runs community education programs on First Aid, CPR, and other emergency-related topics to prepare the public.
