Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County (CISGTC) partners with local school districts to place qualified, caring adults onto school campuses full-time to provide comprehensive, integrated student support services that address barriers to student success. Our social workers come alongside students and their family to identify their unique needs, such as food anxiety, lack of adequate clothing, rent and utility assistance, transportation to services, and mental health counseling, all while creating individualized case management plans to address these needs. Currently serving over 5,000 students in 85 campuses across 12 districts, our social workers and mental health supports team meet students where they are at, collaborating with local partners and working together to remove barriers to student success. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life – we show up for our students! With over 80% of students improving attendance and 98% graduating, it is clear – being present matters, for students and their community of support. CISGTC has a robust community of supporters, including local foundations, businesses, service organizations, and individual stakeholders. With the support of our amazing community, we are able to help our students realize and achieve their dreams!
