Community Alliance of the Far Eastside (CAFE) is a resident-driven nonprofit based in the Far Eastside neighborhood of Indianapolis, Indiana. It was formed in June 1997 through a merger of the area’s social service provider and its community development corporation, creating a single organization to address local needs through a range of activities, including community development, neighborhood organizing, economic and workforce development, youth services, senior citizen programs, and social services. CAFE serves residents of the local community by coordinating these initiatives to support neighborhood welfare and opportunity. It operates within networks and partnerships as a United Way of Central Indiana member agency and a participant in the Indianapolis Coalition for Neighborhood Development.
