Community College of Philadelphia is a public higher education institution based in Philadelphia, founded in 1965. It is the largest public college in the city and the sixth-largest in Pennsylvania, serving a broad regional role in postsecondary education. Since its inception, more than 630,000 students have pursued associate degrees, certificates, and lifelong-learning opportunities across its programs, which number more than 70 degree and certificate options. The college collaborates with local employers by providing workplace training designed to keep the regional workforce skilled and competitive. In 2026, CCP expanded its technical training through a partnership with the U.S. Navy to offer Naval Welding and Nondestructive Testing programs and unveiled a new welding lab to support these efforts.
