Community Credit Union (CCU) was founded in 1955 by a group of visionary leaders who cared about local working people, families, and small businesses. Since then, we have been helping our diverse member base to meet their financial challenges and opportunities. We are a member-focused and member-centric credit union. We are one of the strongest and safest financial institutions in the area. We are a state-chartered credit union that is supervised and examined by the Massachusetts Division of Banks and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Deposits are insured by the NCUA and the Massachusetts Credit Union Share Insurance Corporation (MSIC). CCU is overseen by a board of directors that is comprised of reputable, educated, and qualified community leaders of the highest integrity.

We are headquartered in Lynn, Massachusetts and operate a Branch Office and a Mortgage Center in Peabody and Somerville, Massachusetts. Prerequisite for membership is to live, work, or worship in Essex County or in 25 mile radius from Lynn, Massachusetts. To join CCU, an individual or a business must maintain a share account with a $25 balance. We offer to our members personal and business checking accounts, money market and savings accounts, mortgage loans, automobile and personal loans, debit cards, online banking, and other related services.
