Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCU) is a Utah-based nonprofit founded in 1990 to address distress in Salt Lake City's neighborhoods. It has evolved into a statewide provider of affordable housing, constructing new single- and multi-family homes, rehabilitating existing housing stock, and supporting neighborhood revitalization across Utah. As a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development approved housing counseling agency, CDCU offers services such as homebuyer education, homeowner case management, mortgage foreclosure mitigation counseling, and down payment assistance, among other programs. In October 2024, CDCU partnered with Salt Lake City to launch two programs aimed at renters: the Tenant Resource Center and the Relocation Assistance Fund for Tenants (RAFT). These efforts illustrate the organization's ongoing focus on housing stability and access to affordable housing resources in the state.
