The Community Foundation helps South Jersey residents harness the power of philanthropy to transform their community and the issues they care about most. CFSJ helps donors create funds and achieve positive results with their generosity throughout South Jersey and beyond. CFSJ envisions an eight-county region that is thriving, where all neighbors aspire, succeed, participate, and give.

CFSJ delivers three services to achieve it purpose:

Permanent endowment building
* Develop relationships with donors
* Invest and protect the principal of gifts
* Distribute grants based on charitable intent of the donor

Broad, flexible grantmaking
* Understand strengths, opportunities, assets, and resources
* Re-direct charitable dollars as communities adapt needs change 
* Proactive or responsive grants

Community leadership
* Values, culture, and the will to exercise leadership
* Build relationships 
* Access and develop resources
* Access and develop understanding and skills
