The Community of Jesus is an ecumenical Christian monastic community in Orleans, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, rooted in the Benedictine tradition. Its mission is to witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to glorify God through worship, the common life, and the creative arts. Its members come from diverse denominational backgrounds and include celibate brothers and sisters, married couples, and single adults, who observe a daily rhythm of prayer centered on the Church of the Transfiguration. The Church of the Transfiguration — constructed of Minnesota limestone and designed by William Rawn Associates — serves as the community's spiritual center and features an organ whose pipework traces to early 20th-century Skinner instruments. The community maintains an online presence through its website and a YouTube channel. In June 2026, Community of Jesus Inc., together with Arts Empowering Life and the Performing Arts Building Foundation, filed a federal lawsuit against David and Ellen Ortolani; the case will proceed after a judge denied the Ortolanis' motion to dismiss.
