Community Partners International (CPI) is a nonprofit organization that strengthens, equips, and connects local groups in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Thailand to deliver health care, humanitarian relief, and well-being services to communities affected by conflict and poverty. The organization promotes a balanced approach to aid, prioritizing locally led, decentralized networks designed to keep communities at the center and to maintain capacity in fragile settings. It provides tools and resources to sustain and scale health and relief initiatives, while fostering trust, encouraging collaboration among peers, and supporting practical, evidence-based policy and service delivery. Founded in 1998 and based in Berkeley, California, CPI has enabled more than 140 local organizations to take the lead in rescue, recovery, and resilience efforts in challenging environments. The group aims to weave 300 local organizations into coordinated networks by 2035, with the goal of reaching over 10 million people. In June 2025, CPI announced the appointment of Linda Smith as Chair of the Board of Directors.
