The Community Resource Center (CRC) operates as a nonprofit organization in Middle Tennessee, based in Nashville. It collects, stores, and distributes essential hygiene and cleaning products to vulnerable residents and nonprofit partners, especially during disasters and in times of ongoing need. The center supports more than 300 nonprofit agencies across nine counties, coordinating from a dedicated 5,000-square-foot facility and relying on volunteers to scale operations when crises arise. Founded in 1985 after a community wish-list published in The Tennessean, CRC has established itself as a primary resource and disaster-relief logistics hub in Davidson County, including serving as the official materials manager for the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management. It maintains a responsive distribution network that can expand warehouse space as necessary to meet demand, helping to reach a broad population in its service area. In 2020 and 2021, the organization provided about $10 million worth of product to partner agencies and clients, reaching more than a million people across its coverage area.
