CSD is a K12 public charter school located in the heart of Davidson, North Carolina. A CSD education focuses on the needs and strengths of the individual child. We aim to help students blaze trails to college and career paths built on a clear understanding of the needs of each individual learner, fueled by passion, and sustained by a life-long commitment to the enduring value of an education well-conceived and actively pursued. Because the array of challenges is constantly changing as we learn more as educators, we know that achieving this mission may not come easily. Student-centered education is time- and resource-intensive. We are nonetheless committed to it because the return is so high for our students. We believe that a strong sense of community, a clear appreciation of diverse learning styles, and an unyielding passion for curiosity, exploration, and creativity are the building blocks of a satisfying and productive life.
