Compass Charter Schools, based in Thousand Oaks, California, operates in the education administration sector by offering online and home-school programs as an alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar schooling. Founded in 2012 by a small group of southern California educators, the organization has grown to serve scholars statewide with a focus on a personalized learning experience outside conventional classrooms. It emphasizes social and emotional development alongside academics and supports students with diverse needs, including those who are highly gifted, have faced bullying, participate in sports or the arts, or cope with chronic illness. The school serves families and learners seeking flexible, self-directed education and aims to provide a safe, supportive environment through a dedicated staff and family involvement. In early 2025, Compass Charter Schools received the ASCA RAMP designation, reflecting recognition of its guidance and counseling programs within the broader education community.
