Compass Health is a nonprofit mental health care provider serving five Washington counties—Snohomish, Skagit, Island, San Juan, and Whatcom. Its origins trace back to 1901 when it began as Parkland Lutheran Children’s Home, later expanding to include psychiatric care in 1953, with growth influenced by the Community Mental Health Act to support community-based services. Today, the organization offers services for adults, children, and families and is regarded as one of the largest mental health agencies in Western Washington, serving more than 18,000 people annually. Based in the Everett area, Compass Health operates across five counties to advance behavioral health and well-being in local communities. In January 2026, it opened a behavioral health crisis triage facility at the Marc Healing Center in Snohomish County to provide immediate in-person support.
