Comprehensive Community Action Program is a Rhode Island nonprofit focused on reducing poverty through integrated health and human services. It originated in 1965 as the Cranston Community Action Program and was organized as a Community Action Agency under the Economic Opportunity Act; in 1994 it adopted its current name. Today the organization provides counseling, health and dental care, food, housing and fuel assistance, weatherization, family support, Head Start and daycare, emergency assistance, education, and job training, serving more than 20,000 Rhode Island residents across multiple communities including Cranston, Warwick, Coventry, Providence, Pawtucket, Scituate, and Foster. Based in Cranston, CCAP operates as a mid-sized nonprofit that supports people facing poverty and related barriers through a range of services. In January 2025, CCAP appointed Chris Mansfield as its chief executive officer.
