Comprehensive Youth Development is a New York-based nonprofit that provides free academic, career readiness, and social services to public high school students and alumni in New York City. It operates through a network of three partner high schools—the Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day High School, The High School for Health Professions and Human Services, and City-As-School High School—delivering individualized support aimed at helping disadvantaged, older, and immigrant students graduate and prepare for college and careers. Recent programming includes a new initiative launched in May 2025 called NextGen Leaders. The organization serves about 3,500 students and graduates, offering college and career advising, as well as legal, medical, housing, and tutoring assistance, with a focus on practical job training through medical-related certificate programs.
