Connecticut Mental Health Specialists (CMHS) was founded in 1997 by Dr. Martin Cooper and Dr. David Shack. CMHS now has reached over 70 facilities as a direct result of our superior services. We specialize in adult and geriatric psychiarty and provide the highest quality psychiatric care to long term and assisted living facilities throughout Connecticut. Our full time psychiatrists are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In addition to the work they do, we rely upon a superbly trained team of reliable and dedicated psychiatric APRN's, LCSW's and psychologists. 
We pride ourselves on a proven track record of service to our clients; eliminating chemical restraints, reducing psychotropic medication use and avoiding unnecessary psychiatric hospitializations. If inpatient treatment is needed it can be managed by our own clinicians at the Hebrew Healthcare Behavioral Health Unit.
