Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) is a nonpartisan statewide nonprofit focused on elevating conservation and environmental issues among South Carolina's elected officials, candidates, and voters. Based in Columbia, the organization aims to hold leaders accountable for a safe, clean, and healthy state by tracking votes and publishing a biennial scorecard. CVSC, a small to mid-sized nonprofit, conducts electoral activity through its Conservation Voters Political Action Committee, which enables endorsements, campaign contributions, and direct voter outreach in pursuit of conservation-minded candidates. Beyond electoral work, the nonprofit engages during the legislative session to educate lawmakers and the public and to advocate for legislation protecting the state's natural heritage and way of life. Its board includes Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, and it hosts the Green Tie Awards to recognize leaders who advance conservation in the state.
