Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) is a not‑for‑profit organization that serves the Michigan construction sector. Founded in 1885 as the Builders Exchange of Detroit and Michigan, CAM is described as the oldest and largest construction association in North America, based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The association is governed by a 12‑member Board of Directors elected annually by more than 2,000 member companies, with members encompassing general contractors, specialty/sub-contractors, equipment and material suppliers, and service firms such as architects, engineers and attorneys. Its mission is to provide service, information and assistance to the construction industry, aiming to foster growth and facilitate networking among members and the public. CAM seeks to promote profitability, efficiency and integrity within the industry for the benefit of its members, supported by annual dues and service fees. A recent development is CAM's collaboration with the Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan to host the 16th annual Mid-Year Economic Forecast and State of the Industry Breakfast on June 24, 2026.
