Coopavel is a Brazilian food and beverage manufacturing cooperative founded on December 15, 1970, and based in Cascavel, Paraná. It operates 26 filiais across 17 municipalities in the Oeste and Sudoeste regions of Paraná and runs 11 industrial units within its own Parque Industrial. The cooperative sources inputs from about 3,000 associate farming families and employs between 1,001 and 5,000 people. The industrial park comprises facilities including a pork slaughterhouse (1,500 animals/day), a poultry slaughterhouse (150,000 birds/day), a beef slaughterhouse (200 animals/day), a dairy processing plant (100,000 liters/day), a feed mill, a soybean crushing unit (800 tons/day), a vegetable by-products recycling unit, a fertilizer plant (130,000 tons/year), a seed processing unit (300,000 sacks/year), a 44 million-bird parent stock operation, a hatchery for 90 million chicks/year, lime distribution units, a quality control laboratory, and a corporate university. The company markets products nationwide, with about 50% exported to Europe, the Middle East and Asia, exporting chicken and pork products, soybeans, soybean meal and oil, and corn, with total exports reported as 42 million tons in the last year. In 2021, Coopavel expanded its milling capacity with a second milling line for its flour mill supplied by Sangati Berga.
