Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company is a mid-sized construction firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina, providing commercial and industrial general contracting services. The company traces its origins to a 1996 partnership formed by two high school classmates, initially financing development efforts through a firewood business that evolved into Southeastern Properties & Development and later broader construction work. Over the years, it shifted from hospitality and restaurant-focused commercial work in Raleigh to industrial projects, including biofuel facilities, a lumber mill, and a zinc refinery, and later expanded into K-12, higher education, research facilities, government buildings, aviation hangars, and retail spaces. In 2020, the firm rebranded as Cooper Tacia General Contracting to reflect its broader scope and national reach. A 2024 development saw the opening of a second office in downtown Atlanta to support its Southeast footprint.
