Coperion Corporation Inc. ("Coperion") is an American trading company, and 100%-owned subsidiary of the German American Trade Association (GATA).   GATA is a foundation to promote business engagement among German-speaking medium-sized companies in the U.S. [see www.american-trade.org  ]. Coperion supports this purpose by the business expertise, distribution facilities, personnel and office it makes available to GATA and participating compnaies.

As part of the GATA-developed One-Stop-Shop-Solution participating companies can, in a sense, press a single button and all the requirements of a fast and successful U.S. market entry become available.  Participating companies benefit from the GATA and Coperion service packages, that are specifically negotiated and include heavily discounted prices.

This makes it possible, within 6 to 9 months and a fifth of the cost, to be present with a new distribution model in the U.S. market.  All costs of this outsourced distribution model are fixed and can therefore be carefully budgeted.  At the end of the contracted period, participating companies are free to bring in-house the U.S. distribution that Coperion constructed for them.

A key factor of this cost/risk optimizing model is to avoid theoretical market studies, but to quickly "go live" in the U. S. market.  Coperion & GATA recommend using an appropriate trade show as one of important initial steps to facilitate this. Selection and management of the fair is part of the Coperion service package.

It is important that at the time of the trade show debut the following points have been fully discussed and resolved through GATA & Coperion: Company review and evaluation, Product liability protection, Company set-up, Trademark protection, Staffing and office arrangements, Trade show selection and follow-up plan.
