Cornerstone Capital Financial Services LLC was founded in Edison NJ in June of 2007 in the wake of the global economic crisis.The founding partners each brought a disparate set of talents and experiences to the mix; one was a successful wholesale account executive for WAMU with an extensive knowledge of the back office underwriting process as well as contacts with underwriters and loan officers throughout the state, while the other was a top notch loan officer with an intuitive knowledge of the origination process who had managed several retail branches. In July of 2010 Kevin Shanman, the minority partner and former wholesale AE, became the sole owner of Cornerstone and relocated the business (now in Westfield) to his hometown of River Edge.

Six years later, having worked with hundreds of clients in the area, we are proud to be established members of the River Edge/Bergen County business community.
