In 1994, parents at the Lynden American Reformed Church recognized the need for a place of reformed education and elected the first members of the school society. After years of preparation, teaching finally began in 2002 in a rented facility, teaching 1st through 8th grades. The next CCS moved to its newly-constructed facilities, and added another grade each year until the 2006-2007 school year, when the first senior class graduated. Since then the school has continued to grow, supported by the parents and the school society.
