Cortex Composites, Inc. developed a proprietary rollable cement product "Cortex". Cortex is delivered to a construction site in rolls and then is hydrated in place to harden. Cortex is classified as a Geosynthetic Cementitous Composite Mat (ASTM: GCCM). Once hydrated Cortex achieves a strength of over 7,000 PSI compressive strength. Cortex is priced under poured concrete and shotcrete. Cortex can be used for canal lining, ditch lining, slope protection, erosion control, pond and lagoon lining, remediation applications, and other applications.
