The Council for Biotechnology Information is a commitment by six major agricultural biotechnology companies to educate audiences in North America about the benefits of modern agricultural biotechnology. Its objectives are to use solid, documented research and analysis from opinion leaders in creative communications campaigns to help targeted audiences understand and accept the positive role of biotechnology in providing more and better food to a growing world while helping protect the natural resource base on which agriculture depends. GMO Answers, actively supported and funded by CBI’s members, was launched in July 2013 to do a better job answering the public’s questions — no matter what they are — about GMOs. Our goal is to make information about GMOs in food and agriculture easier to access and understand. The GMOAnswers.com website, social media profiles and branded materials and events provide a direct pipeline for consumers to receive answers to their questions from a community of qualified experts about GMOs, agriculture and how our food is grown.
