COUNTDOWN ENTERTAINMENT - The Worldwide Leader in Brokering Hall of Fame Artists Catalogues Countdown Entertainment, founded by James Citkovic in 1983 as a music management firm, has been involved in forwarding the careers of platinum recording artists, Grammy Award-winning artists and even one of the Top 100 Entertainers of All Time (Irene Cara), as well as other established and emerging talent in a variety of genres (DJ Red Alert, Afrika Bambaataa, The Bloodhound Gang and lead vocalist of Ram Jam, Don Chaffin). Countdown also managed Grammy Award-nominated producers, engineers and mixers such as Chris Conway (Biggie, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill) and hit songwriters including Robbie Patton (Fleetwood Mac, Santana). Countdown also worked with such major producers as Steve Thompson (Guns N' Roses, Madonna, Metallica) and Mike Appel (Bruce Springsteen), to name a few. In the mid-90s, as the traditional record industry reorganized and the roles of managers began to change, Citkovic recognized that music publishing and masters were becoming increasingly valuable commodities. It was at that point Countdown changed its focus by utilizing its years of industry experience and contacts to bring together buyers and sellers of intellectual properties.
