The Courts Service was established as an independent corporate organisation on 9th November, 1999 following the enactment of the Courts Service Act, 1998.

We employ around 1,000 staff in 40 locations nationwide.

Our functions are:
-to manage the courts
-to provide support services for the judges
-to provide information on the courts system to the public
-to provide, manage and maintain court buildings
-to provide facilities for users of the courts.

Seirbhís ar ardchaighdeán a chur ar fáil d'úsáideoirí uile na gcúirteanna in Éirinn.

Bunaíodh an tSeirbhís Chúirteanna mar eagraíocht chorparáideach neamhspleách ar 9 Samhain, 1999 tar éis achtú an Achta um Sheirbhís Chúirteanna, 1998. Fostaímid thart ar 1,000 ball foirne i 40 ionad ar fud na tíre.

- na cúirteanna a bhainistiú
-seirbhísí tacaíochta a chur ar fáil do na breithiúna
-eolas faoin gcóras cúirteanna a chur ar fáil don phobal
-foirgnimh chúirte a sholáthar, a bhainistiú agus a chothabháil
-saoráidí a chur ar fáil d'úsáideoirí na gcúirteanna.
