Coverfly, based in Los Angeles, California, operates as a subsidiary of Backstage and connects emerging screenwriters with opportunities in Hollywood. The platform builds a bridge between writers and the industry through partnerships with competitions, fellowships, and coverage providers to help talent develop and advance their careers.

It serves both aspiring writers and industry professionals seeking new work, with programs that showcase talent and provide career guidance. Free offerings include opportunities to meet virtually with literary managers, agents, and producers, virtual table reads with professional actors, submission-fee waivers, a six-month career mentorship, and ongoing writing workshops. In March 2024, The Tracking Board announced a partnership with Coverfly to extend collaboration and industry insight.
