Coyote Prosthetics & Orthotics designs and manufactures devices for orthotics and prosthetics within the medical equipment sector. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for wearers through ongoing research, development, and the production of reliable, high-functioning products. Based in Boise, Idaho, the company traces its roots to 1999 when Dale Perkins and his son Matt Perkins founded Coyote Design after recognizing gaps in the tools used in their own patient care; both founders are amputees, which shapes the company’s perspective.

Coyote serves orthotic and prosthetic wearers, along with clinicians and technicians, offering solutions that address daily mobility and function. Operating in the medical equipment manufacturing industry, it emphasizes sustained product development to meet wearer needs. A notable milestone in its early history was the 2012 Blue Ribbon distinction from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for Dream Big Small Business of the Year.
