CRAFT IN AMERICA, Inc. is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to promote and advance original handcrafted work through programs in all media. We are dedicated to the exploration, preservation and celebration of craft, the work of the hand, and their impact on our nation’s cultural heritage.

Craft is all around us, giving pleasure as well as serving a function. It is inspirational as well as useful. It is the best representation of who we are as a culture. Craft is democratic — broad enough to accommodate anyone who makes something or appreciates the handmade. In short, craft is us.
