A proactive, forward-thinking law enforcement agency in Union County New Jersey, the Cranford Police Department is currently staffed by fifty-two (52) sworn law enforcement officers and eight (8) civilian Communications Officers. Additional civilian personnel round out the administrative, traffic maintenance, and clerical staffs.

The Department is divided into several divisions, each with a different responsibility and area of excellence.  Currently the organization has a Patrol Division, Investigative Division, Training and Community Outreach Division, and Records Division.  
By working together, the different divisions are able to investigate crimes & accidents, respond to emergencies, conduct community outreach to engage with our stakeholders, and prevent many illegal acts from ever occurring.
