Crawford Lake Capital Management, LLC is an SEC-registered investment adviser that manages a trading-oriented long/short hedge fund equity strategy. Crawford Lake’s strategy includes both fundamental and technical analysis in a hybrid approach to investing in equities and options. The firm’s goal is to produce superior risk adjusted returns with low volatility in all market conditions. The firm also believes that the client experience is almost as important as achieving its investment goals. Crawford Lake prides itself on radical transparency with its clients, and seeks to be a market-leader in that regard. Additionally, Crawford Lake is committed to continually enhancing its operational infrastructure, and partnering with service providers that are recognized as industry leaders. 

Isaac Markowitz and Jacob Herzka have been managing Crawford Lake together since 2008 (which they consider to be the firm’s year of inception), after Mr. Markowitz began managing the firm as the sole partner and portfolio manager in 2006. In 2015, Jeff Schachter joined as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Crawford Lake GP, LLC served as the firm’s initial sole management entity, until Crawford Lake Capital Management, LLC was formed in 2013 as part of an ongoing institutionalization process. The firm branded all of its entities under the name “Crawford Lake” in 2015 to establish a unique brand identity.
