When Vicky Hayes was eight years old all she wanted for Christmas was her own mixer. Not a play mixer but a real mixer. And she got it... Twenty years later Vicky began Create A Cake Catering to offer excellent food, presentation of table decorations and food, and service to the Greensboro/Guilford County Community. In 2004, Jerone and Roberta Pearson decided to purchase an empty warehouse located on prime real estate on the “quiet” end of East Wendover Avenue. After renovating it into an event facility with easily accessible parking, they realized that owning a catering company would be a welcome addition to the company. Vicky Hayes was considering selling Create A Cake Catering and retiring and Jerone and Roberta purchased it. Fortunately, Vicky has not retired but is still creating the delicious food, cakes and decorations for all kinds of events. Today Create A Cake Catering at the Emerald Event Center is the perfect place for food and events in Greensboro, Guilford County and all surrounding areas. We are still renovating our building and growing. And we still offer excellent food, great presentations and service. Our next addition will be an outdoor area for weddings.
