Creative Growth Art Center is the house that art built. For 50 years, we've served artists with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, offering a professional studio environment where art knows no limits. Here, over 140 artists explore a wide range of media, from fiber arts and painting to ceramics and digital arts. Our gallery, the world’s oldest dedicated to artists with disabilities, hosts four annual exhibitions right here in Oakland, while our artists’ works reach far beyond, finding homes in prominent collections and museums worldwide. At Creative Growth, we believe in the power of art to connect, inspire, and redefine what's possible. After all, a little paint goes a long way—and sometimes, so does a whole lot of heart.
