Cristo Rey Newark High School is a Catholic, college preparatory high school located in Newark, New Jersey. It is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a group of 35 nationwide schools that provide Catholic education to urban students with limited economic resources. The school welcomes students of all faiths and cultural backgrounds and is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Newark, with endorsement from the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth and the Marist Brothers of the Schools. 

Its work-study model partners with more than 60 corporate employers to give students over 1,400 hours of professional work experience by graduation, helping offset tuition costs. Across the Cristo Rey Network, about 10,933 students gain access to Catholic preparatory education, and the network has celebrated 11,508 graduates to date.
