Founded in 1951, CrossGlobe was first established as a private in-house truckload carrier for a specialty fiber manufacturing company. Over the years, CrossGlobe evolved into a “one stop shopping” logistics provider with a fleet of dry vans, trucks, warehouse facilities, as well as drayage and truck brokerage capabilities. 

In 2012, the Logistec group of companies acquired CrossGlobe, enhancing and increasing its service offering to include stevedoring and additional warehousing capabilities up and down the east coast of the USA and eastern Canada. With a presence in over 30 ports and terminals in eastern North America, Logistec specializes in handling all types of dry cargo, including bulk, break-bulk, and containers. Cargoes handled typically consist of forest products, metals, dry bulk, fruit, grain, containers, general cargo, and project cargo. Logistec is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
