Croydon Council is a local government authority serving the London borough of Croydon in England. It provides a broad range of public services to residents, businesses, and visitors, including services for children and adults, as well as environmental, cultural, sports, housing, planning, and benefits services. The council operates within a democratic framework, with an Executive led by the Leader and Cabinet, supported by committees and scrutiny to oversee performance. It is the borough's largest employer. The borough is divided into 24 electoral wards, with local elections held every four years. In 2026 the council announced a rapid response wraparound service to help rough sleepers move into safer, more stable accommodation.
