The CU Anschutz Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is the pharmacy program of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, located in Aurora, Colorado. It traces its origins to 1911 as a small department within the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Boulder, later becoming an independent college by 1913 and a formal school in 1957. In 2008 the school moved to the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, and in 2011 a major gift from The ALSAM Foundation supported the construction of a new pharmacy building and led to the school being named in honor of the Skaggs family. Today, it serves as a hub where education, research, and patient care intersect, bringing together students, researchers, and clinicians to advance health care and improve lives. Recent 2025 developments include partnerships and program expansions within the CU Denver Anschutz ecosystem to broaden graduate and certificate offerings.
